You can play. Here at Athena, that is the belief we have for each of our clients. If you have the drive and the dream, we can assist in finding your pathway to pursuing your international playing goals and continue your passion for sport and academic success at the collegiate level.
Founder Monica Jones-McFee experienced first hand playing at the collegiate level and from there became an assistant coach at a USport program in Canada, specialising in defence and recruiting. Following this, she played internationally in the UK, before relocating to Australia where she played in the Australian Volleyball League while working for a number of years. A trained secondary teacher with experience in Canada, the UK and Australia, has a long history working in sport including at Volleyball New Brunswick in Canada, Volleyball NSW in Australia, and has had the opportunity to coach at numerous Australian National Junior Development Camps for Indoor and Beach volleyball across Australia since 2015. Her belief in the power of sport and the opportunities on the court, and the life experiences it provides to the players is what drove her to create the Athena Sports Agency - to provide the same opportunities to the future generations which sport gave to her.
